1 day Jinja excursion includes a boat cruise to the Source of the Nile River and a 4-hour white water rafting activity. Jinja is a hub for adventure tourism and offers a wide range of activities including bungee jumping, water biking, water tubing, zip lining, and horse back riding.
The tour can start from Kampala capital city or Entebbe town depending on where you will be. Jinja is 2-hour drive away and an easy day trip from both cities. You might start the journey early in the morning depending on the choice of your activities.
Full day White Water rafting/Half day White water rafting
For those who love extreme adventure activities, conquering the should be part of your to do list while visiting the pearl of Africa. This life changing experience starts with an early breakfast and briefing about the does and don’ts while on the Nile. After breakfast and briefing, there are disclaimer papers to sign and you head to the Nile. You will be on the Nile for about 4-6 hours and lunch will be served on the course of Nile. You will have several guides as you maneuver through the rapids and of the Nile. As you conquer the Nile, there are several encounters with the wildlife on the Nile including birds and local communities farming on the banks of the Nile. We will share the photos of the whole experience after the day on the Nile. Half day will start from Itanda falls and takes about 3 hours
Source of Nile Boat Cruise
The boat ride to the source of the Nile led by a local guide lasts for about 40 min-1 hour. You might join other visitors or enjoy a private ride. The site is dramatic, as the Victoria Victoria
plunges over waterfalls and rapids to begin the long journey to the Mediterranean Sea. The Nile is blessed with a diversity of bird species including malachite kingfishers and African fish eagles. You won’t see the shoebill stork here, those intending to see one can book our Shoebill excursion to Mabamba wetlands.
Among other things to see at the source of the Nile include the Mahatma Ghandhi monument, the CHOGAM drum and the handicraft stalls.
