Detailed Itinerary
DAY 1: DOMESTIC FLIGHT TO THE WEST (BWINDI -KIHIHI/KISORO)
Pick up and transfer to Kajjansi airfield in Kampala or back to the Entebbe airport for your domestic flight. As opposed to the road experience, this flight offers an aerial view of Uganda’s beautiful landscape. Flight takes about one hour and thirty minutes depending on the weather and routing.
Upon arrival, you will meet your safari guide who travelled the previous day to meet you at the airstrip. While using Kihihi airstrip, you will drive to Buhoma sector, the headquarters of Bwindi. Check in at the lodge and then embark on a community walk.
Option to visit the Batwa pygmies.
Arriving in Kisoro, you will drive to lake Mutanda for a canoe boat excursion which takes about 2/3 hours. Very scenic and rewarding in photography and bird life. The other option will be driving to Mgahinga national park for the Batwa experience. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: THE ULTIMATE GORILLA TRACKING EXPERIENCE
Gorilla trekking will leave you with great memories with opportunity to watch these gentle giants for 1 hour in their natural habitat.
After your early breakfast, you will have short drive to the UWA briefing Centre where you will be taken through the dos and don’ts of tracking gorillas. The trekking may take 2-5 hours depending on location of the gorilla group. We recommend you to carry enough drinking water and packed lunch and rain gear since it can rain anytime.
You will be trekking together in a group of eight people accompanied by armed ranger guides.
After gorillas have been located, you will have one hour viewing them at a distance of 7-10 meters. When taking photos,keep your camera in silence and put off the flashlight. Trek back to the vehicle and return to lodge for lunch, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: FLIGHT BACK TO ENTEBBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
After your breakfast, you will driver to the airstrip and fly back to Entebbe or Kajjansi. Depending on your departure flight time, you can explore Entebbe through our suggested short tours.
For instance, our shoebill excursion to Mabamba wetlands is a fantastic birding experience
Visit the chimpanzee sanctuary at Ngamba Island to take part in feeding chimps.
Enjoy a nature walk at the Entebbe botanical gardens
Uganda Wildlife Education Centre for chimpanzee up-close or behind the scenes where you will take part in feeding animals among other. (These extra activities must be prebooked).
