Our package of 3 Days Murchison Falls safari offers rhino tracking, game drive, boat cruise and top of the falls hike in Uganda’s oldest and largest park that was gazetted in 1924. The conservation area is made of five reserves; Karuma, Kabwoya, East Madi, Ajai, and Bugungu game reserves and Budongo central forest reserve. In Budongo forest, you can track chimpanzees and enjoy quality time birding along the royal mile walk at Busingiro to spot the unique Congo-Guinea forest species such as Puvel’s Illadopsis. The park is famous for the Murchison Falls where the Nile squeezes itself through a 7-meters wide gorge and plunges over a 45-meter cliff with a thunderous roar into the devil’s cauldron to create a trademark rainbow.

Day Two – Game drive and afternoon boat cruise
After an early breakfast preferably 6:30am, we head out for a morning game drive to search for Big cats. On a lucky day, you may be able to find the lions by the roadside given that the grass is wet very early in the morning and lions tend to come and walk through the game tracks avoiding the wet grass. Keep a keen eye on the big acacias for leopards in the morning when the sun is out.
In the afternoon, you will take a shared boat to the bottom of the falls, a highlight activity of 3 days Murchison falls safari. (Private boat available on request at 200$). While on the boat, the Nile presents a chance of watching animals that come to drink and cool off at the banks of the Nile including the great African elephants, waterbucks, Rothschild’s giraffes, and buffaloes. Among others include the Nile crocodiles, the monitor lizard, and hippos. For bird lovers, this boat is definitely a good place to spot some water birds, including the giant kingfishers, red throated bee-eaters, African Fish eagles, rock pranticoles, Egyptian goose among others. Later get off the boat and hike to the top of the falls to view the falls where the Nile squeezes itself in in narrow gorge creating spectacular view. After the boat cruise, you will enjoy an evening game drive en route to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
